About STA

We dedicate ourselves with unceasing effort to:

• Seek consistently higher levels of student achievement
• Promote in public education and in the union democratic dynamics, fairness, and due process for all
• Improve the quality of the teaching force
• Improve the terms and conditions under which adults and children work and learn

Our union does a lot of great work on behalf of teachers and students by:

• Working to improve the working conditions for teachers
• Working to improve the learning conditions for students
• Working to improve the lives of educators both personally and professionally. 

Members are the voice of the union, and it is our voices that help push the goals, work, and achievements we can accomplish
